Review: Edge of Tomorrow (2014)

Edge of Tomorrow follows a Major in the U.S Army, who after being sent to the front line after an alien invasion, is forced to live the same day over and over again. Directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity), the sci-Fi action film stars Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, and Bill Paxman.
Edge of Tomorrow has an incredible, unorthodox plot. Having the film set over multiple shots of the same scene limits the film getting too action centric, which usually ruins science-fiction action films. Tom Cruise – although seemingly typecast – has great chemistry with Emily Blunt, and looks to enjoy playing the not-so-well-informed character for once. With a perfect pace, and a gripping story, Edge of Tomorrow is a highly entertaining film that and science-fiction fans will enjoy.
