I had no idea that this film served as a sequel to Centurion (2010) until doing some research on the film before writing this review, so one criticism with the film is not setting it up as an informed story that flows from the previous film. Channing Tatum is somewhat out of his depth in this one, and he fails to give the character that much personality warranting of his character’s history. The cinematography is great, with the Scottish Highlands magnificently captured. A film that won’t live long in the memory, but a great watch if you’re thing is Roman Britain.
