The Recruit (2003)

The Recruit

The Recruit is a thriller directed by Roger Donaldson and stars Colin Farrell, Al Pacino, Bridget Moynahan and Gabriel Macht. When a recent MIT graduate James Clayton (Farrell) meets a CIA recruiter (Pacino), he is asked to uncover a mole that he believes is sneaking out intelligence through the agency. This is in no way a great film, but it still serves as a good entertainer. There are some good moments between Farrell and Pacino, but this is probably the only highlight. The director made the training scenes made to look like a fraternity house- that inhabits the cool guy, the cool girl and the jealous friend. Very predictable plot, but still watchable for its star powered performances.
